SOS («Save Our Souls»; Morse code: ti-ti-ti ta-ta-ta ti-ti-ti) is the traditional distress call made by ships when they are in danger and need help. The protagonists of science fiction stories also often get into trouble: for example, when they don’t know something important. Because then only information needed, they sometimes even ask the reader for help. Rarely does he have the opportunity to provide this simply via an e-mail address. He can then send their thoughts, ideas and concepts that he believes would be helpful. They may even become the subject of a new science fiction story.
